Catalogue Entry
A Medical Grinder was used to grind herbs and roots into powder. The powder created was used for medicinal purposes for centuries in China. The grinders on display were used by Mr. Louie Gar Shek in his Chinatown herbal store intil 1965. The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is grateful to the Gar Shek family for donating these historical items.
中草藥研磨器是用於將草藥和根研磨成粉末。幾個世紀以來,這種粉末在中國一直被用作藥物治療。而本館所展示的,則是 Louie Gar Shek 先生曾在他唐人街的草藥店使用到 1965 年的研磨器。卡城中華文化中心衷心感謝 Gar Shek 家族捐贈這些富有歷史價值的物品。
