Large Vase with Chinese Ink is a substantial vase, illlustrating a painterly mountainside view. In the style of a Chinese Ink painting, mountains and shrubbery contrast against one another using a variety of shades of ink. Each brush stroke emphsizes the definition of each cliff and shrub, animating a layering affect and mountains that fade into the distance.
The text at the top of the vase explains a drawing of watching the waterfall, the Xin Wei Year, and lastly that it was "created with a lot of blessings". In full, the text means that this drawing of the waterfall was finished in the Xin Wei Year, with lots of blessing in the process of the art creation. The text is translated from right to left.
